International week always seems to come at a bad time, usually when Liverpool are hitting their stride and putting in a good run of results. This time around that’s not the case.
Sunday’s FA Cup defeat at Man Utd was a big blow and a couple of weeks off could well benefit us ahead of the Premier League run-in and our bid for Europa League victory.
So, as our star players grab their passports and join up with their national sides, we will be crossing our fingers and hoping they all return unscathed.
One player that won’t be joining in the fun is Darwin Nunez, who has pulled out of the Uruguay squad with a tight hamstring. It appears to be just precautionary so hopefully he will be fit to face Brighton when club football resumes at the end of the month.

I wanted to take this opportunity to give you a sneak peek, or rather a cheeky listen, to a new AI-enhanced All Things Red Podcast that we are currently working on. It is still very early days and we are fully aware there is a lot of improvement needed, but please take a listen and let us know what you think.
