The early transfer window activity is starting to quieten down a little for Liverpool, although that doesn’t necessarily mean there aren’t any more signings to be made.
We hit the ground running last month, snapping up Jeremie Frimpong with ease. Richard Hughes then worked a little bit harder to get Florian Wirtz over the line, although the German midfielder had made his intentions clear and it was just a case of agreeing a fee with Bayer Leverkusen.
Next up was Milos Kerkez, and another case of negotiating a contract for a player who wanted to play for Liverpool.
Since then its gone a bit quiet. That doesn’t mean a lack of activity, it just means that talks are being had behind closed doors, with very little information being leaked to the press.
With Jarell Quansah having completed his move to Leverkusen, Liverpool will push hard to sign Marc Guehi. We’re hearing that a fee has been agreed between the two clubs, so it’s all about the contract now and we must be patient.
That then leaves us the opportunity to complete an incredible summer transfer window by signing Alexander Isak from Newcastle. That move will be dependent upon the Reds offloading Darwin Nunez, with Napoli the favourite destination. This may well be one deal that goes to the wire.
We expect a quiet couple of weeks, but in the meantime let’s have a giveaway!
