Back to work as Reds face Forest
The international break has hopefully been good for Liverpool.
We return from the international break hopefully focussed on turning around the season and putting in a proper bid to retain our Premier League title.
Liverpool lost this exact fixture 1-0 last season, the only league game in which they failed to score all season. They’ve not lost consecutive home league games against Nottingham Forest since 1963. Ley’s keep that stat going!
Today’s game is subject to the archaic 3 o’clock blackout rule for TV, introduced in the 1960’s to encourage fans to attend games rather than sit at home. Oh how times have changed, as we all struggle to get our hands on match tickets, regardless of televised fixtures.
For those who know where to look, check out our TV and Live Stream Guide for full details of how you can watch this afternoon’s game.
Team news
Conor Bradley and Florian Wirtz are ruled out, but Alisson Becker is back and Alexander Isak looks set to start.
