Will an impressive win at Marseille ease the pressure on the boss?

Ironically, I had prepared an article earlier this week about the pressure on Arne Slot and doubts about whether he would see the season out. It was supposed to go out on Tuesday, but personal issues got in the way, then we were heading off to France for Wednesday night’s Champions League game at Marseille. What an incredible stadium that Velodrome is, by the way.

I digress.

Despite what has now become a fairly long unbeaten run, criticism of Liverpool’s current style of play under Slot has increased in recent weeks, with frustrations being aired in the press, on social media and at the weekend in the form of boos from the Anfield ‘faithful’.
